We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new Chop House Head Chef Alexandru-Ionel Sotir.
Starting his journey at several D&D restaurants from Le Pont de La Tour, to Quanlingo’s and our sister restaurant Butlers Wharf Chop House, Alex brings with him great passion and respect for fresh produce and seasonality across his cooking.
His motto has always been “work hard in silence and let the success be your noise”
Growing up in Romania Alex has grown from waitering to bartending gaining years of experience in all the areas of hospitality and where he awoke his passion for cooking.
Inspired by the use of only Great British produce Alex will be creating an abundance of different cuts from different British breeds using only the best produce on the market. Alongside his meaty cuts, Alex signature techniques have put a modern twist onto he dishes with refine plating, modern cooking techniques and subtle flavours from different cuisines.
